Proverbs 3:16 - “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”So here’s a question: do we really believe that God is able to guide us - to get us where we need to go in life? The Bible is pretty clear that God is a God Who guides His children: see Exodus 13:21; Psalm 23:3; 25:9; Isaiah 42:16; 58:11; John 16:13. And these are just a few verses that promise God’s guidance. The key thing about His guiding us is presented in today’s Scripture. In “all your ways”. God is to be the focus - He is to be the priority in every area of our lives. Why is this so vital? Because He knows more than us, is wiser than us, is infinitely good, is intimately acquainted with every part of us, and He speaks into our lives with that knowledge. The bottom line: God wants us to trust Him more than we trust ourselves. He wants us to put way more confidence in His ability to guide us than we put in our own ability to guide ourselves. When we do that, His promise is clear - He will guide us. Not only because He loves us, but because then we will be “guidable”. We will desire what He desires and will gladly follow where He leads. Your Heavenly Father is more than able to get you where you need to go. And He wants to. So trust Him. He is a faithful guide!
