Mark 16:15 - “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’” This is the command of Jesus to all who would follow Him - to everyone who wants to be His disciple. As Christians we are called to be all about what Jesus is all about. And He is all about proclaiming the Truth of the gospel - that anyone can step into an everlasting relationship with the Father through Him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Salvation is found in no other Name. God wants us - we can have Him. That is the outrageous wonder of the good news of the gospel and the message we get to share! The spirit of the world wars against this, of course. It demands that we either soften the message or risk offending the crowd. But when it comes to the gospel the bottom-line issue is not whether it is offensive or even relevant to the masses, but is it true. Truth is what makes a difference. Truth is what we need. Truth anchors our lives and secures our eternities. The good news of the gospel tells us the truth. It’s what everyone needs. That is why Jesus wants everyone to hear it. And He has entrusted that mission to you and to me as His followers. Life is short. Eternity is long. Truth has a Name - Jesus. Let’s share Him!
