I Corinthians 10:13 - “No temptationhas overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” Here is the simple truth: as a christian you have just as much power to believe God as you have to believe the Enemy of your soul. Let that sink in. With every temptation that Satan slithers in front of you, every lie he whispers in your ear, every good gift from God that he tries to twist and pervert in order to dupe you into choosing sin - in every single situation, as a Christ-follower, you have the God-given power and right to say “No” to his wicked advances. The promise in today’s Scripture is that right there in the middle of that mess the faithfulness of God burns brightly. He will be “faithful. . (to) provide a way out.” When Satan tries to smother you with his enticing temptations, God is standing right there with you saying, “Believe Me. Trust Me. I’ve given you the power to believe My words to you. Here is the way out. Here is the exit. You don’t have to be destroyed.” As christians we don’t have to believe Satan’s lies. . . ever. We can choose to believe and obey our awesome God. He knows your limits and He is faithful. Take heart in that!
